Junior to Mid-Level Environmental Professional – Remote (NC)

We are seeking an experienced environmental consulting professional to join Hanley Environmental as our fourth team member. This is a full-time position working remotely from within North Carolina. We are looking for someone with two or more years of experience in environmental consulting related to assessment and remediation of contaminated sites—someone who takes initiative, has strong technical abilities, and thrives in a small-team environment.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting environmental site assessments and remedial actions.
  • Performing field work, including environmental data collection and construction quality assurance.
  • Preparing technical reports, figures, data tables, and calculations.
  • Coordinating with contractors, clients, and vendors.
  • Assisting with vapor intrusion mitigation system designs and participating in brownfield redevelopment projects.
  • Supporting project management efforts from inception to completion, adhering to quality, timeline, and budget goals.
  • Engaging with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders in a professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in environmental consulting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical proficiency in contaminated site assessment and remediation.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in technical writing, data analysis, and project management.
  • Self-motivated and eager to work in a small, growing firm environment.
